Welcome to Domovoi. By joining our waitlist, and eventually using the app, you agree to a small number of reasonable things. Listed below. This document is a placeholder; the final version will live here before public launch.

1. Using the app

Domovoi is a private household app for two people. You agree to use it for the household you actually share, in ways that don't harm anyone else, and not to use it to host content that is illegal, abusive, or otherwise the kind of thing we'd be ashamed to be associated with.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password roughly as secret as you'd keep a key to your apartment. If something goes wrong, like a phone left in a taxi or a partner you no longer want to share with, tell us, and we will help you sort it out.

3. Your content

The recipes, tasks, lists, and everything else you put in Domovoi belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any of it. We do need a narrow, ordinary license to display it back to you and to your partner. That's how the app works.

4. Payment, when it exists

Domovoi is free during early access. When we introduce paid plans, we will be straightforward about pricing, will offer a free tier suitable for most households, and will not surprise-bill you. You can cancel any time.

5. Things we don't promise

The app is provided "as is," which is the legal way of saying that software is software and sometimes it breaks. We will not be liable for missed appointments, forgotten anniversaries, burnt dinners, or other small household disasters that the app fails to prevent. Domovoi is a helper, not a guarantor.

6. Ending things

You can leave any time, and we'll export your data on request. We can also end your access if you do something that endangers other users, breaks the law, or makes the app unusable for the rest of us. We'll explain why before we do.

7. Disputes

If we disagree about something, the first step is to email hi@domovoi.ca and try to work it out like adults. The final version of this section will spell out the jurisdiction and process for anything that can't be resolved that way.

8. Changes

We will update these terms as the app grows. For material changes, we'll email you with at least thirty days' notice and give you a clean way to opt out before they take effect.
