Terms of service.

These terms cover your use of domovoi.ca and the tools on it: Catered, Curated and Considered. By using Domovoi you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Using Domovoi

You can use the tools without an account. To share them with your partner you make a home, which needs an account. You need to be at least 16. Use Domovoi for your own household, lawfully, and don't use it to harm anyone, abuse the service, or try to get at data that isn't yours.

2. Your account and your home

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. A home is shared by the two people in it: you both see, and can change, what either of you adds, apart from gifts for each other, which stay hidden from the person they're for. Only invite someone you're happy to share your home with.

3. Your content

What you add is yours. You give us the permission we need to store it, show it to you and your partner, and run the features you use, and nothing more. If you add details about other people, such as names and birthdays in your gift calendar, make sure you're comfortable doing so and keep it to what you need.

4. Other people's content

Recipes you save come from other websites and belong to their authors; we save them for your own use and link back to the source. Film and TV information and images come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Brands in Considered are chosen by us; we link to their own websites and don't sell their products. We aren't responsible for third-party sites or what they sell.

5. Connected services

If you sign in with Google or import from Google Calendar, Google's own terms apply to your Google account too. You can disconnect Domovoi from your Google account at any time.

6. Price

Domovoi doesn't currently charge for anything. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll say so clearly first, and nothing will be charged without you choosing it.

7. No guarantees

We work hard to keep Domovoi reliable, but it's provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Check things that matter, like allergens in a recipe or where a show is streaming. Gift suggestions are ideas, not advice.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for things the service didn't prevent, from a missed birthday to a burnt dinner. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Domovoi at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll explain why unless the law stops us. If we ever shut a tool down, we'll give you notice and a way to get your data out.

10. Changes

We'll update these terms as Domovoi changes and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect; carrying on using Domovoi after that means you accept it.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to sort it out.
