Domovoi ("we," "us," or "the app") cares about your shared little life and the data that comes with it. This page is a placeholder for the privacy policy that will go live before our public launch. None of this is legal advice; none of it is final.

1. What we collect

When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect the email address you give us and the time you gave it to us. When you eventually use the app, we'll collect the household data you put in: tasks, recipes, calendars you choose to connect, and the names of the two people in your household.

1.1 Information you give us directly

This includes your email, your first name, your partner's first name, the calendar accounts you choose to connect, and any tasks, shopping lists, or recipes you save inside the app.

1.2 Information collected automatically

We log the bare minimum needed to keep the app running. Error reports, app version, device type. We do not collect advertising identifiers and we do not maintain a behavioral profile of you.

2. What we don't collect

We do not sell your data. We do not share your household with advertisers. We do not train any third-party model on the contents of your shared tasks, lists, or messages. If we ever change any of this, we will tell you in plain English, not buried in a 4,000-word amendment.

3. How we use it

We use your data to make the app work for you and your partner. We sync your calendar, to remind you about tonight's dinner, to figure out whose turn it is to take out the recycling. We do not use it to sell you things, and we do not let our analytics tools see the contents of your household.

4. How we share it

We share data with the two people in your household, and with the cloud providers we use to run the app (currently a couple of well-known names, listed in the final policy). We do not share it with anyone else.

5. How we keep it safe

We encrypt data in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard authentication. We are not perfect, but we try hard, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or take it with you to another service. You can also tell us to forget you completely. We will, within thirty days, and the only thing we will keep is enough to honor your deletion request.

7.5 Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site. These tools may set cookies in your browser for analytics purposes. We do not share this data with anyone else, and we do not run advertising on this site. You can opt out using Google's official opt-out browser add-on.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the app grows. For material changes, we will email you and give you a reasonable chance to opt out before they take effect.
